Description: Our Client is seeking a Team Leader to join their team. The Job/Duties

  • Work towards developing a technically sound culture of participation and involvement by encouraging the team to communicate effectively and efficiently demonstrating full support to the wider claims team.
  • Developing a team of technicians with a view to producing a competent desk adjusting service.
  • Ensure clear objectives are set for members of the team, monitoring progress, taking corrective action and controlling performance levels in line with our clients Performance Review Policy.
  • Implement coaching and training techniques to ensure that all team members are confident and knowledgeable when dealing with customers.
  • Focus on achieving personal, team and department goals and deal with problems or conflict which affect these, as appropriate.
  • Ensure that the department follows standard adjusting & claims procedures to determine the validity of claims handled by the department.
  • Communicating professionally with a variety of people including customers, insurers, adjusters, loss assessors, surveyors, external specialists, finance companies and other clients.
  • Ensure verbal complaints received are handled following agreed guidelines and procedures.
  • Maintain and build client and insurance underwriter relationships.
  • Involvement in recruitment and selection processes, job specific training and employee development.
  • Identify in conjunction with other members of the department areas for process & system improvement
  • Ensure compliance to all regulatory, company and client requirements
  • Maintain adherence to all of our client’s HR polices working with colleagues to address any identified issues

    Qualification Requirements:

  • 7 GCSEs Grade C or above (including Maths and English); or
  • 3 A Level passes; or
  • A degree or equivalent; or
  • Relevant experience
